Through literary pursuits of myriad activities, book publications, and education, the Academy strives to foster an intellectual and cultural growth culture-academic creativity and enrichment-hometown texture. Since 2008, the Anis Ansari Academy has actively featured short story writing in Sindh through its annual Short Story Conferences. Here, writers - new and established alike-to are brought into orbit to share their work and have worthwhile discourse about the art of storytelling. The Academy has dedicated itself to nurturing literary talent, making these events cornerstones of the local literary community where writers can hone their craft and connect with other authors.

In addition to organizing these seminars, the Academy boasts of hosting the Anis Ansari Award, which is one of the most significant accolades given to outstanding short stories. All those who submit their short stories to the Academy qualify for this award, hence offering writers the chance to get recognition.
